I grew up in eastern Nebraska, experiencing the prairie and river ecosystems along with the effects of agricultural practices on both the environment and the people. I have spent the last three years studying these prairies along with grasslands in Ecuador. To me, environmental science is an informational tool that is constantly modified and nourished. Using this tool to dive into the natural world creates opportunities in places rich with both discoveries and mysteries I can’t wait to solve.
