Honors
To be eligible for honors, students must have a GPA no lower than 3.3 in their Environmental Sciences courses (counted as those in the Core and Advanced Studies categories) as well as in their overall university coursework. Students meeting the GPA requirement are encouraged to approach a faculty member to discuss possible projects, no later than the spring of their junior year. Students must complete their research during two quarters of ENVR_SCI 399. After completing their research, students prepare a written thesis. Students planning to submit a senior thesis should notify the Program Director, Patricia Beddows, by April 15 and provide a title and the name of the advisor. The final version of the thesis must be submitted to Prof. Beddows by May 1 for the student to be eligible for honors. A complete description of the honors policy can be obtained from the program office. For more information, students should contact the Program Office.
