Honors
To be eligible for honors, students must have a GPA no lower than 3.3 in their Environmental Sciences courses (counted as those in the Core and Advanced Studies categories) as well as in their overall university coursework. Students meeting the GPA requirement are encouraged to approach a faculty member to discuss possible projects, no later than the spring of their junior year.
Students must complete a minimum of two quarters of ENVR_SCI or EARTH 399 Independent Research credits, with their research mentor for the thesis to be submitted. After completing their research, students prepare a written thesis.
Thesis submission is early in May with exact dates changing slightly every year. Students planning to submit a senior thesis should notify the Program Director, Patricia Beddows in Fall quarter of the senior year, with their working title and the name of the advisor.
