PROGRAM IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES

I believe that the natural communities on Earth all have an inherent right to live. My goal is to protect these natural communities on both the social and scientific fronts. I am especially interested in ways that humans can coexist with other organisms by incorporating nature into human landscapes, particularly through ecological restoration. I love being out in the field, my primary focus being botany, but I am always striving to learn more about the ecosystems around me.
