Coming from Miami, Florida, I grew up with an early appreciation of the wealth of biodiversity around me, situated at the southern tip of the Everglades watershed and the northern tip of the Florida Barrier Reef. After organizing mangrove cleanups and Earth Week events at my high school, I began my studies at Northwestern, and hope to find opportunities here and beyond to study the interactions between green spaces, connection to the natural world, and mental health and community wellness.
