Growing up in Salt Lake City, I spent a lot of time hiking and camping in Utah’s beautiful mountains and national/state parks. On the flip side, every year I have experienced the valley’s recurring bad air quality, and I have watched in real time as both the Great Salt Lake and Lake Powell shrink. These experiences deeply inform my interests in environmental science and I am passionate about changing our relationship as humans with the natural world for the better.
